Most memorable details
Our wedding day was filled with so many wonderful moments! After getting dressed and ready, my father came into the room to see me. He had a gift that he couldn’t wait to give me. He handed me a box and inside was a pink sapphire and diamond bracelet that he wanted me to wear as my “something new”. There wasn’t a dry eye in the room! I will cherish that moment forever. Our ceremony was absolutely perfect. I remember when they opened the doors and seeing the small country church filled with all of our family and friends. It was overwhelming.
At the reception, we had the time of our lives. At one point, Josh and I went outside to get some air and as we looked through the windows we saw all our guests having a wonderful time. It was the best feeling in the world. It is exactly what we had wanted from day one. My favorite moment overall, was our first dance. The dance floor was in the corner and every person at the reception was on there feet standing around us. Somehow though, it felt like we were all alone and that our song would never end.
Some planning advice for brides and grooms
I would tell future brides to enjoy every single moment of the planning, from the beginning until the very last moment of your special day. My wedding day flew by faster than I could have imagined.
Try to relax and have fun
So many people told us afterwards, that because Josh and I looked so calm and were having so much fun together, it made our wedding one of the best they have ever been to! Something I was told that helped me through the planning of my wedding was I needed to trust the vendors I chose. Most of them have done so many weddings they could do it with there eyes closed and I should trust them to use their judgment and creativity. Future bride and grooms should plan their wedding from their heart, truly thinking about what the two of them want and try to make all their dreams come true. This is their day!
